A&BC FOOTBALL CARD SET 1 (1971)

This iconic set of Footballer Cards was produced in 1971 and I fondly remember collecting them myself - the wax-paper wrapping , the brittle, dusty (alleged) chewing gum and the unmistakable smell of a newly-opened packet. Many thanks to my good friend Mark Thomas for kindly allowing me to scan and share these items on the 'net. I had forgotten just how startling some of the hairstyles were! While there are a few baby-faced individuals in the set, I was also struck at how aged and grizzled so many of the players look when compared to today's stars. Click on the thumbnail images below to see larger images of the front and back of each card in the set.
